Uh oh Jon Jon

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Former MF Global Holding Inc. (MFGLQ) chief Jon Corzine authorized the transfer of $200 million in client funds to a J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM) account to reconcile an overdraft, Bloomberg News reported late Friday, citing an internal MF Global email. After the futures brokerage filed for bankruptcy in November following bad bets on European debt, millions of dollars were found to be missing from customer accounts. MF Global’s assistant treasurer, Edith O’Brien, has been subpoenaed previously to appear before the U.S. House’s Financial Services Committee next week to answer questions about the money transfers.
